bernie: yeah, kwok the hist lecturer. and never-neverland makes her infamous, all of my loving readers make her infamous. i take none of the credit.
electioneer: YES we must go and get the elbow cd. only if it's not copy-protected, thouhg.
i realised something VERY annoying. the cd i bought yesterday - when it falls by zero 7 - is copy-protected so it's completely fucked up. it plays on my computer, but not on my discman although my discman is only a year old. and the stupidest thing is, the fineprint on the cd cover says that "this cd is playable on most cd players." MOST is such a damn MISLEADING, EUPHEMISTIC word. what the FUCK is the point of selling a cd that doesn't play on ALL cd players? what if i'm the unfortunate one whose cd player can't play the goddamn cd? i don't really know how this copy-protect thing works, so maybe it was because i copied the tracks to my windows media library that it can't play on any other device but my computer now? but what if i had an ipod and wanted to transfer tracks there - a completely legitimate action? i just don't see the point. the music industry should fuck itself upside down, occasionally.
chit says i should try and burn the tracks that i've copied to my hard drive. see if that works.
i shall also go and google copy protection to figure out how it works. see if drawing a ring around the cd will actually help.
