Kitson:
There IS more than one legitimate religion in the world, you know. So many religions tolerate homosexuality. Hinduism doesn't reject homosexuality, and neither did the Greek and Roman religions. There are actually books that have been published called "Greek Homosexuality"and "Roman Homosexuality". Those -are- legitimate religions. And what is it that homosexuals do that is an insult to moral decency? Not even heterosexuals are allowed to have rampant sex in public, so does it make a difference if gay men and women have sex in privacy? I won't argue with marriage being a religious sanction because I have no problem with you holding that belief, although I don't think that religion does in fact condemn homosexuality. And I believe that two men or two women who love each other have as much right to legalise their union as a man and a woman have. And it also depends on how one defines marriage - the civil union or the religious sanction.
Apart from that, what's wrong with Mormons? They have their beliefs, you have yours. Besides the polygamy thing, which they don't even do anymore, they're supposed to live very purely and chastely, you know. And many of them actually follow it properly. I don't see anything wrong with being a Mormon.
